Hi
I just opened my LLC around 5 months. One of my competitors sued my LLC, and me.
I am in California. Can I present for me with out hiring attorney?
The cost for my case very high that I can not afford it.
What should I do?
Please anyone can give advice.
Thanks

If you are being sued in small claims court, attorneys are not permitted so you can represent yourself and your LLC.

If you are being sued in regular court your LLC can only be represented by an attorney but you can represent yourself as an individual.

What is your competitor suing you for?

I'm not sure what "present for me" might mean, but you are entitled to represent yourself in the lawsuit. You may not, however, represent your LLC in the case (unless the case is in small claims court).

No one here can provide you with intelligent advice because you provided almost no relevant factual information.
