I am not married to my babies father. I live in MI and want to leave the relationship and move closer to my two older childrens father. He lives in Indiana. I need to know if I can do this.

Is BF Father of one child on BC and/or listed as legal Father? If so then you cannot put such distance between Father and child without his permission and/or a court order.

Was patenrity established with Dad? If so he can certainly fight you on the move and file for custody or for you to return the child, since the state he is in will have jurisdiction until you meet the residency requirements of the new state.

You should do this right and go to court and file for custody and ask for permission to move. If you are allowed to move, you may also be responsible for all transportation for visits.

Well I guess that answer that question thank you. But now I have another. Do I have to go to the court house where I live now or can I do it from where I want to move to. Right now I live in Cedar Springs MI and want to go at least South Haven MI.

Paternity was established. He says he will let me go but I just don't know. I guess I am better off going through courts now.

Your ending one relationship and jumping back in bed with old!? Whats different that its going to work this time. Yes go through courts without court orders there will be nothing but trouble. Get a custody/Support/Vistation order

not jumping right back into old relationship we have remained friends I just need to get out of this relationship that I am in thought it would be nice to move a little closer to there father as well. It is only about an hour and half away so the babies father will still be in touch.
