Layoff's

With the job market the way it is today, there are more rumors that we will have more lay offs at my company. If that happens I will be next. Question to what happens to the child support I pay out? Will it just add up until I can find a new job? What happens if I am out of work for a good length of time? Also I am court ordered to carry the heath insurance, What could happen to me if I can't find a new job, can I be forced to pay out of pocket for insurance? I live in Michigan.

If you are laid off your best bet is to immed file for a CS reduction. Assuming of course you are going to look for another job asap.

If you cannot find insurance, then you can ask Mom to carry the child and reimburse her for premiums. This is all state specigic bu you might want to get all your ducks in a row.
