Jail time

I know a person who has a warrent out on him and it is dealing with back child support. If he goes to the jail where they are asking him to go will they put him directly in jail or will they hold a consoltation to see if he is willing to pay or not?

They'll usually put him in jail and its up to the judge to set bail, which often is 50% of the balance owed of CS. Your friend needs to stop being a deadbeat and pay his CS.

Thanks for the info and as for him being a dead beat he isn't his ex wife is just a plain B***ch and I really can't stand what she is doing to him. He visits his kids and spends money on them but apparently that doesn't count. And I find it funny how you bring up CS and everyone automatically thinks "dead beat dad". How close minded the world is now a days.

But does he pay his court ordered child support through the appropriate system? If he did there would not be a warrant.

true but if his ex wife would have called off the hounds the first time he paid in full he wouldn't be in this situation either.
