if loan does not go through to pay debts is bankruptcy the way to go? VIRGINIA

our car is about to be repossed (anyday after monday the 25th) which we owe $19,000 on still.

25% of wages are being garnished due to judgement against us by aquaintance.

behind on 1 credit card.

owe about $16,000 in hospital bills because of accident in 2004 (lawyer embeselled money which he recently plead guilty tooand are currently waiting on settlement to pay these)


---- trying to get a loan to pay off car and stop the wages from being garnished also with that money. but wont know if we are approved until monday the 25th. if we are denied the loan should we claim bankruptcy?
