I was parking my car in a parking spot when some one backed her car and hit me before I could park. It happened near my home so I called one of my room mates. They arrived and asked me to call the police. I did that and the police came. The lady who hit me accused to the police that I was trying to detain her with my friends and some other people. Now the office gave me a form that had her insurance info in it. I did not write any statement of anything like that.

I am worried that now, can she go to a court and file a case against me saying that I was trying to detain her ? Is there anything I can do now?

Please advise.

Since it seems apparent you tried to sneak into the space she was attempting to safely back into, expect your insurance to require at least a 50/50 split on damages. BTW, you can't put lipstick on a car accident.

You should have no worries about such a silly claim. It won't go anywhere.
Let your insurance sort out the damages and that will be the end of it.

OP, you live in LA.
I love LA.
My mother's family were all from LA.
The people are great, the food is so tasty, the laws are so Napoleonic, and then there's your "no fault" AND/OR "at fault" auto insurance (you gonna get paid, yo') system. LOL
LA is one of those rare "no fault insurance" states (as far as property is concerned), with a dash of "at fault" for personal injury.
As has been previously stated, let your insurance company earn some of that money you've been paying them over the last three or four years.

As noted, it's best to always notify your own ins. co. of any accident & let them go from there.
