Independence and Financial Aid

Hello, I am living under my older sister who is a guardian and she is 27 years old and making above the line where i cant recieve financial aid for college. I am currently a junior and my mom is living in Mongolia and she wants me to become independent so I can get financial aid but my sister doesn't want to. she says that i have to testify against her in court and they won't give me enough financial aid. i told my mom that and she says she's gonna have to come over and do it but my sister says she cant do that. any help?

If your sister has been made your court appointed guardian, you can complete the FAFSA under her. Otherwise it must be done by your mom.
