Im from the UK what are my rights?

I recently found out i fathered a child whilst on vacation in Mexico last year.
I dont dispute the paternity, and the mother is amenable to my taking the child back home to the UK with me to live. Can i simply get registered on the birth certificate and fly home into the UK with the baby?
Or do i need to do anything else?

My question is, why is the mother willing to give up her baby just like that? I doubt mom is just going to hand the baby off to you. Paternity needs to be established and I have absolutely no idea the family laws in mexico, or the immigration laws from Mexico to UK. You are going to have to consult with a Mexico attorney. I find it odd mom is giving the baby over to you if you have no relationship with the child. Is some momey exchanging hands here?

Is the baby actually better off with you, or do you want custody just to get out of paying support?

How is the mother going to see the child? Does she intend on having a relationship with the child?

I want ro raise the child as i have none, and am of comfortable means, the lady in question is happy for me to be on the birth certificate and give the child a better life in the UK. and no, she does not intend on having a relationship with the child. I guess i need to find out if a birth certificate with my name on it is all i need to leave the country and enter my own.
Anyone have any knowledge on this?

I doubt anyone here is familiar with Mexico law. The baby is going to need a passport. You are also going to have to legally establish paternity. you really are probably going to have to talk to a Mexico family law attorney. It's not easy to take a baby out of the country, if it was there would be many international kidnappings.
