As a requirement for my release on bond, I was required to post a cash bond. After the trial was over, the court refused to return the cash bond. Also, at the time of my arrest, the arresting officers took some money that I had been saving, but told me that I could have it back. The court kept both of these monies without giving me a notice, hearing or appeal.

The money posted for any bond can be seized for back taxes, back child support, and in some cases by a clever person holding a judgment against you.

You are entitled to full and complete accounting of the monies, meaning an explanation from the court.

Google "YOUR COUNTY and court" where you posted the bond.
If you search diligently, information will appear as to how one might request such an accounting.

You might want to make sure the Judge (presiding over your case) "EXONERATED" your bond.
Check with teh court clerk, or your lawyer to inquire further.
