Negligence, Other Injury i was hired to build a shed, was injured in the process

I was hired by a local horse boarding facility to build a run out shed on the farm. The last day I was working I fell into a wood chuck hole as i climbed over the fence. The structure was completed and I was compensated, but as a result of the injury I have been unable to work for several months, and the prognosis is nuclear at this point. My Heath insurance only covers so much, and the bills are adding up. My question is, is there any liabilty by the farm owners. In other words can I file suit to help with expenses, etc.
