i know i need a lawyer, any reccomendations for a lawyer that will work with me on payments. in the houston area. custody battle. father in jail. mother wants sole custody.

Mom can try calling legal aid to see if they will help her. How long is Dad in jail for? Mom probably has custody by default anyways. If Dad is in jail then he cant see the child anyways.

he was sentenced to 3 yrs TDC. we already had a court order where i had custody and he had visitation rights. i dont want him to get out of jail and continue to influence my son negatively.

a month before he went to jail i was informed that he was still using drugs. i tried to keep my son from him but got threatened by a cop that i could go to jail for not letting my son see his father according to the court order. even though i thought my son could be in danger. i gave in and tried to trust him again... not even a month later he was back in jail for violating his probation.
