Alcohol & Drugs: DUI, DWI I got a DUI in one state but my license if from another

I just got a DUI in California but my Driver's License if from another state. I plan on moving back to the other state in several months thats why I did't get a California License. Now that I got a DUI here I have driving privileges in California for one month then I can't drive anymore here. Is there a way around this since I have an out os state License and California can't suspend it? I also work here and will have to go to work everyday for the next 5 months. I was told by DMV that I need to go apply for a California license, then once I get one I have to apply for a California DUI restrictions license. Isn't there a way I can keep my Out of state license and just get a temp restricted license for California?

For a DUI you need an attorney. He will be in the best position to advise. CA will notify your home state of the conviction and they will suspend your license.
