Ok, four years ago in Sept. I left my husband. A month later I was with another man that I ended up moving in with. In Jan. we found out I was pregnant. 3 weeks after that I left him for lying to me. He knew I was pregnant and that I was gonna want some support. He ran off to Arkansas to live with his uncle that told me I was gonna have to get an abortion because there was no way Chuck was gonna pay for this the night I was moving out. Well, the state has recently found him, pretty close to us actually, and I am wondering after they establish paternity what actually rights does this loser have to my twin daughters? I mean he knew they exsisted and abandoned them. Can he seriously have rights to them after all these years???? I am just sick over this!! Please Help!! :o

If it is determined that he is the father, then he is entitled to file for visitation. He may very well be awarded visitation, but you can request graduated and supervised visitation so that the children can get to know him.

Graduated visitation starts slowly - shorter visits for awhile, moving to longer/regular visits over a period of time. This can be supervised or non-supervised.

you can file for child support, or the state will file for you if you were on government assistance. Once paternity is established he will have some rights to the kids if he chooses to exercise them. You chose this man to get pregnant by. If you want tax payers to support your kids they are going to go after your husband if he is the legal father, or the bio father.

okay, first of all I appreciate your advice but, they are not going after my husband he has already had dna test to prove paternity. Also, yes, I chose to be with this man but, was lied to and told he was fixed (so to speak). yes, it's my own stupidity for believing him but, heinz sight is 20/20 right? And, the state does not support them. I do have a job. They helped me for about a year or so. Not a loser here!!
