I am a 25 year old hard working and loving man. I recently found out that my fiance is pregnant. Once we found out she became very cold and distant toward me, we do not live together so she has been ignoring me and basically shutting me out of Her and Our childs begining of existance. She is finishing up a degree and is not originally from where we currently reside in Western New York, she now has plans to move back to Central NY 2 months before Our child is expected...

What rights do I have to pursue custody of the baby after birth??? Any help will be greatly appreciated, Im stuck and I want to raise Our child the right way together. I have strong family values and this is deeply important to me. Thank You

Once the child is born you have all the same rights as Mom. However in case she disputes this or leaves you rname off Birth Certificate you might first seek a paternity test. Once done and you are established as Dad you can then pursue some or all of the following custody, visitation and, support

The chances of you getting custody of an infant is VERY slim, you'll have to prove mom unstable and unfit. But you should be able to etablish paternity and set up a visitation schedule. You need to google to see if NY has a presumtive fathers registry and I think they do see the below link

Also here is another good article from the NY times about the rights of single fathers in NY
