Humiliated at work and quit because of social anxiety disorder

Hi,

I have social anxiety disorder, and I was doing fine at work..

But I was humiliated and put down in front of all of my co-workers by another co-worker. The humiliation and anxiety it is causing, forced me to resign.

I have a letter of resignation ready for my employer as to why... But had I not been humiliated, I would still be working. I felt I had no choice but to quit, or face overwhelming anxiety and scrutiny.

Wait a second - you want to have a legal case here without addressing this with your employer before you quit? That won't fly... You need to make sure you have addressed the issue with your coworker and with management and HR and see if any improvements. Also, if this humiliation was a one time deal, you don't have a legal case here either. Your condition is treatable so nothing in your posting is indicating that you have been discriminated.
