HOW TO PRIVATELY ADOPT 15mo OLD WITH MOTHER'S CONSENT

A friend of mine wants me to legally adopt her 15 month old daughter.
Father is no where to be found, he didn't sign birth certificate, it is thought that he lives out of the country. He hasn't been since since Mother became pregnant. Please advise.

He needs to marry her and do a step parent adoption. If he wont commit to her in marriage he has no business adopting the child.

and btw, this child DOES have a father, and his consent is required. you cant just pretend he doesnt exsist.

The first question that will come up before a legal adoption is granted involves whether both parents agree to this. Your friend will need to provide proof that she at least attempted to find the father of this child to get his approval regarding this matter.
