how long does it take for a post to show up after you submitted it?

It shows up right away unless you are doing something against forum rules

Alternate possibility; if it gets caught by mistake in the spam catcher, it takes until a moderator notices and releases it.

Do you have a thread that has not posted yet? If so, let me know and I'll go looking.

yeah i posted one sat night - i don't think there's anything bad in it. I re-submitted it bc i thought maybe i did it wrong - neither one has shown up.

Sorry about this guys - this is another item I'm listing in the "mini list" of FAQs that will appear in the top right corner. Occasionally there will be postings from new users which will have a key word in their post that will trigger the spam filter. There could be plenty of legitimate questions about cialis or issues related to the "sex" or gender of a person but the spam catcher will nail those posts by users who have less than 5 posts. The amount of spam related to these topics is incredible and this is an unfortunate necessary evil - but I'm trying to clear our queue every day. Thanks for your patience and being a good sport about it.
