How do I go about filing an ex-parte custody motion myself

Hi everyone,

I need to find out if anyone can guide me to filing an ex-parte custody motion myself. I am consulting with an attorney and waiting for her to get back with me after the holidays about whether she can help us or not without a huge retainer being paid. We (my wife & I) were just going to wait until income tax time to take my ex-wife to court for custody, but the children are in danger now more than ever and my daughter has started cutting herself and is suicidal because she wants to get away from her mother. Please help, anyone who can. We live in Ohio.

if the children are in real danger (ex. child abuse alcohol and drug abuse homeless)then you can justngo to the court house family division and ask to file for an emergency exparte custody order of minor children.
If a court order has already been established for custody of the minor children you better have a very good reason for wanting an exparte. And bring any proof you have with you.
