I signed a contract with a contractor I give him 50% now he asks me for more money over that we agreed to close the deal..we signed contrac for 39,000 now he asks me for 18,000 more..what I can do now. .I want my 50% thats I gave him...he doesn't want give me my money back. .help please...

You'll have to sue him, if he won't return your money to you.
Here's a tip, never give ANY contractor more than 10% of any amount agreed upon before the work is done.
Giving him 50%, or him asking for that amount indicates he's a SCAMMER.
You might check him out with your BBB, and your state's contractor licensing agency.
If you think he scammed you, don't hesitate to report him to your local law enforcement agency or the county prosecutor.
Even if you sue, I'll lay you $5 to $10 he's insolvent and unable to reimburse you.
You might want to talk with a local lawyer.
