Higher wages

I am employed as an assistant director in a child care centre, when my director is away I step in as acting director, the law states that I can only be paid for higher duties (director rates) when it is 2 consecutive working days, now I work Monday to Friday and if she is away on Friday and Monday is that considered 2 consecutive working days?
