Here is what worries me about CPS

CDWjava, I agree with you quite a bit. Some of it may be a difference in States. I'm just accustomed to dealing with stories like the one I posted. That person and the others who would have "done the same" need to be hung out to dry. I am fine with CPS if they operate under law. Seizing a child with true probable cause is fine. I think the parents should be read their rights and should not have to talk without an attorney. I think CPS should not be able to threaten to take children for failure to talk. That's totally out of line and outside of their policies and laws here.

While they can be sued for leaving a child in a bad situation, they are very hard to sue for violating parent's rights wrongly.
