So I was hit from the back august 31st. Lady ran into the back of me, causing me to hit the vehicle in front of me, while at the red light. Her insurance company paid my property damages $3700. Now dr bills are $4500, what is a reasonable settlement offer for this bodily injury claim? & should I hire an attorney?

What can I expect them to offer me? Is $8000 reasonable, even without hiring an attorney?

No one can say what any injury is worth.

I can tell you that victims who hire an attorney to fend off the insurance company average between 3 to 5 times more in settlements.

So, let's say they were to offer you $10,000 without a lawyer.

You hire a lawyer and let's say, using the statistical data that you get the lower side, $30,000.

The lawyer gets between 33-40% of the award as his or her fee.

Let's say he takes 40% of $30,000, that leaves you with $28,000.

I suggest you do nothing until you have consulted an attorney.

The lawyer works to get you more, because he gets more.

The only loser is the insurance company.

Can I still hire an attorney at this point? I've done everything up until now. Is it too late? The step im at now is negotiating with the bodily injury claim adjuster

Back & knee. Tissue . Daily pain and discomfort. Chiropractor bill is $4500. I was just discharged from treatment october 31.

Stop asking questions and start doing something.

Make a couple of appointments and go speak with an attorney or two or three.

The initial consultation is often free, so you have NOTHING to lose.

Discuss your case, and see what an attorney can do.

The longer you wait, the more you might be losing.
