I bought some phone cases on the internet which were branded with a household name, I listed and sold approx 15 on Ebay. After the listing had finished I got an email from ebay stating that this had been reported for intellectulal property rights. I have now (6 weeks later) received a letter from a Copyright Solicitors stating that I have to sign and undertaking, where I agree to not sell any more (fine, I thought they were real - I dont want to sell anything fake!) and I've got to pay them £350 legal costs, pay the profit back that I made (also fine) plus compensation!

I don't have £350, I don't have any compensation to give them. I honestly and truly bought the cases in good faith. If I don't sign and return within 7 days they will take me to court.

Please can somebody help????

Ignore them.
They are scammers.
They are trying to bully you into giving them your money.
Google their name, your eyes will be opened.
They won't sue.
They want easy money.

I have googled them, I've also contacted the company who's goods I thought I was selling, and they confirmed that this solicitors do work for them on intellectulal property laws

That's like asking a fox, if he broke into your henhouse and killed and consumed your hens, isn't it?

Pay them if you wish to pay them.

They are scammers and bullies.

There is nothing they can do to you, except get you to give them your money.

I don't care what decision you make.

I'm not scamming you, nor will I try to scam you.

They are your scammers.

Good luck.
