Guardianship

I currenlty a single parent with a two month old baby. I'm currently serving in the military and the question that I have is there anyway possible to give guardianship to a friend just in case something happens to me where I'm not able to provide for my child without losing my parental rights.

That depends on where Dad is and if paternity has been established. You cannot necessarily step over Dad and give guardianship to someone else without his permission.
