I am the mother of my two year old little boy. His father and I are currently unmarried and living in different counties in Ohio. He had been in prison for the last 18 months and was releasted in May of this year. His father and step-mother have been helping me with Nathan(our son) while he was locked up. I have let them take him whenever they have asked since he was 8 months old. We have disagreed on how Nathan should be disiplined, what he is allowed to do and, ect. Since they do not punish him for his bad behavior he comes home acting horrible. He spits, hits, pretends he has a gun and shoots at people, and doesn't listen. Since this has happened I have only allowed them to take him once a month. Now they are taking me to court to answer a Complaint for Grandparent's Visitation. What are they intitled to? How often will they get to keep him? And if his father and I were to push up our marriage plans would this keep them from taking us to court?

You will be best served if you talk to an attorney so you can disclose details that you have omitted here that may influence the outcome of the response of the complaint filed by the grandparents. Hope this helps!

They might get every other weekend if they get anything at all but you can dispute it. Where is the boys father now? Is he still locked up? does he live with you?

No the father or rather my boyfriend is out now and he lives with his mother. I currently live with my parents. I recently lost my job because I had to be with my son in the hospital due to him having Mersa. So neither of us are working.
