Drug Crimes, Substance Abuse got charged with pot no one had!!!

My friends and I need some help. The other day my friends and I smoked a bowl and like 10 min later the cops came. They said there was a complaint that it smelled like Marijuana. The cops said they could smell it. The cops asked us if we had smoked and we said yes. The cop asked who supplied it I said I did and then they asked if there was any left we said no. The cop asked for the pipe so we gave them one. Then they started Asking if we would be snitches.. to make a very long story short we all got Posession of Marijuana under 40 g charges.
My question is can they charge us for Posession if we didn't have Posession of any Marijuana? Plaese help ..I'm scared

Sounds like they have marijuana residue, as well as confessions. . .

They can charge you, sure. If they are victorious in court or not is uncertain.

Good choice not to go the route of snitching. . .
