Give up rights

I was 16 years old when I had relations with a girl who was 19. She got pregnant but wasn't sure it was mine. She didn't want me hanging around and refused to put me on the birth certificate. Being 16 I was ok with that. This happened in connecticut. I now live in texas and about 2 years ago got blindsided with connecticut courts calling me and telling me I owe back child support. The child is now 7 years old. I pay every month and never even see the child. I want to give up my rights and move on with my life. I wish things had been different but this girl is really psycho and I can never see myself with her and she dosn't want me in her life she just wants my money.

You cannot just give up your rights. Unless there is a stepfather to adopt you cannot. You might want to see an attorney to see if its too late to get a DNA test. Other than that, you might as well get to know this child and set up a visitation schedule. You will have to ask for that too.
