getting the car on to my name

hi i bought a car in August2016 from a dealership, the car is in my possesion and in perfect condition, however im still waiting on the dealership to put the car on my name they tell me everytime i contact them that they are waiting on the bank to release the car onto their name and then they will put it on my name. we are in October2016 now and i cant get car insurance or a maintenance plan because the car is not on my name, is there a way to speed up the whole process?

Have you tried? Or are you just assuming you can't.

In the US all you need is your purchase contract and you can get insurance from day one.

Hard to imagine that being any different in SA.
