getting maiden namne back

I did not receive notification on the date of the divorce hearing and the hearing happened without me. I am not contesting the divorce at all but I would like to get my maiden name back. I was told at the Dodge County Courthouse, Fremont, NE, that it would cost approximately $100 to get it changed. Is there another way to get my name back without cost? I am living on disability and do not have the extra funds to get this done. Please help me. Kathy

Short answer: No.

You could have had the name change included in the divorce paperwork, but since you didn't, you'll need to go through the normal channels.
