Personal Bankruptcy Garnishment Refund/ Please Help

My jurisdiction is: Georgia/ USA

I filed chapter 7 bankrupt without an attorney. I submitted a copy of the notice to my employer but they refused to stop paying the garnishment. How do I go about receiving a refund for the wages that were garnished after I filed?

Send your bankruptcy papers to the creditor that is garnishing your wages-- they will then send a notice to stop garnishment to your employer
