Future POA, What would I liabile for?

The state or country I am talking about is: NJ

My Mom is 81 and wants me to be her POA for financial matters. If I do this will I be liable for any of her debts? She doesn't have any assests to speak of and she has some credit card debt (under $1,000). :confused:
