From failure to appear to collection agency

2 months after mailing $159 bail and traffic school money to the court I receive a note (along with my uncashed checks) that the total bail of $742 was due. I have no idea what the $742 is for and the court can't help me?Then I find out it has been sent to a collection agency (so they could not help me). The collection agency set me a court date of June 4th 2008. Meanwhile, the DMV says my license will be suspended as of Jan 5th 2008. I'm told to either pay the fine or I'll be driving with a suspended license for 6 months.

Go back to court and try to get some real answers from clerks or help desk. There is not much I can tell you if you don't even know what exactly is going on.

Did you get approval to take the traffic school, actually take the school and furnish the clerk with a certificate?
