Hi I bought an elliptical from www.fitnessblowout.com, a company based in Los Angeles, CA. I am 300 miles north of there, in San Jose, CA. They lied to me about their warranty and their price match guarantee. I have emails, my invoice, and hard copies of their website saying they guarantee these things. They owe me about $300 as of now, plus they're now refusing to award me my warranty.

I contacted BBB.org and reported them to the government for false advertising. They have some other violations in their practices too. Can I collect on that, or can only the government do so? If I file for small claims, does it have to be in LA? Can I file it here in my own county, since this is the place I purchased it? Even if I can, would they have it moved to their county?

Thanks for any help and advice.

Depends on the breaches. Probably it's up to the government.

Yes.

No, not in small claims.
