Boyfriend and Girlfriend share a home. Boyfriend ownes home, pays mortgage, all utilites, etc. Girfriend brings new lover to home. Police say since she resides there that I as the home owner cannot force her lover to leave residence. What a mess. I'm thinking that when I am in the home I have final say on who comes into the home, since there is no financial input from girlfriend (X to be). Note: Florida does not recognize common law marriages.

She actually packed a bunch of clothes and personal items 4 days ago, but left things behind to continue to esablish recendency. She hasn't slept at the home for almost a week. Is there a timeline that could be defined as her leaving the residency?

Thanks. I'm disabled and just concerned the physical violence will begin once she is served. Would prefer her just to go away. appeciate your reply. Thank you!!

Roaches and rats don't go away. As you've observed, they multiply. Jacksgal is correct in her advice.

If you want the roaches out, you call an exterminator. You need to bring an eviction proceeding to legally exterminate these roaches.

Florida is a very friendly state in allowing their citizens online access to most legal activities. Call your local courthouse for eviction guidance. Or, search online for your county and how to evict.

There are many legal aid groups who will offer specific advice. Bottom line, the longer you delay, they longer the roaches stay and play. You might also want to seek a restraining order or order of protection, if you fear violence. The police might be able to guide you on that.

Whatever you do, don't throw the crap of the roaches out. If you do, they could sue you. Yeah it sucks, but that's the law.
