I was fired from my job of 5 years on 9/10/2010. I had a reckless driving back on 9/5/1999. The company knew about this back when they hired me and said that it did not matter because I met their qualifications. Their reason for firing me was that I no longer met the requirements to work there after 5 years because of that incident on 9/5/1999. Is there anything that I can do?

Nope. Washington is an "at-will employment" state, meaning they can fire you for any reason that does not violate a specific law (and this does not), or for no reason at all.

It's unfortunate, but it's not illegal. If you have not already done so, file for unemployment benefits immediately.
