Hello I would like some legal advice concerning how to go about locating a child and getting visitation rights for a father who is a legalized citizen of U.K and Austrailian mother who has legal residence in Austrailia. The child was born 7 years ago in Austrailia, the father has been denied all contact with his child since birth.Mother refuses to disclose location of child.Or give access to visitation. The father contacted legal aid in UK they denied his claim.Father wants rights to visit his child.Who should he contact?
This is going to be a difficult, expensive, and lengthy endeavor.
Dad needs to contact an Australian attorney to assist him.
In Oz, they're solicitors.
Anyway, no one will do this for free.
It will cost money and take time!
If the child is with the mother, and the mother is in Australia, the child is likely in Australia, too!
The dad will have to go to Australia and attempt to locate the mother and child.
He would then TRY to establish paternity according to Australian laws.
He'd also have to TRY and establish visitation through the Australian court system.
Finally, he should be prepared to establish child support through the Australian legal system.
Bottom line, locate the child, and bring any legal actions where the child and mother reside; if he can!!!!
