I took physical custody of my newborn immediately after birth because my daughter's mother has an open CPS case and her perminancy specialist told me she is deemed unfit. 11days after her birth I am served a petition for my childs mother(who does not live with me) to have custody removed. Along with my baby removed from me, without my name on a single piece of paper. I am on the birth certificate and acknowledged paternity to the workers before her birth. Is this not a direct violation of my rights? Now im awaiting the court date on my daughters mothers petition. I forgot to mention she has yet to be served. Now im being forced into visition with my child unfairly 2 days a week. I have yet to receive any yet. This has been stressful an definitely unlawful. I have not spent one day without expressing my concerns specially with my daughter who was in great health becomming ill. I took her to her post pardum appointment the same day she was taken and was in wonderful condition. Can someone point me in the right direction? I am a single father on disibility and cannot afford legal representation. I need help anyway possible!
