Expungement, Want to Start New Criminal Records, Expungement

    I work a full-time job and am looking for part-time work. It has been virtually impossible for me to do that because of an offense that occurred 12/23/07. A misdemeanor class 1 charge of concealing/price altering merchandise (1st offense) code section: 18.2-103

    Is there any possible way to get this removed from my record and, if so, how?

    What was the conviction date?

    Is this your only conviction?

    It varies, but in Michigan it takes 5 years after conviction to get it expunged. . .

    You should contact a criminal defense attorney, ask if they do expungements. For free, they should tell you how long it will take, etc.

    Expungements generally cost close to a grand. I find it doubtful and Attorney would do it for free

    An attorney will tell you how long it will take, for free. . . not the actual expungement.

    Hence,

    "For free, they should tell you how long it will take, etc."
