Other Criminal Charges & Offenses Ex-wife stole checks, signed and cashed.

We got divorced in 2006 with me having full custody of our two kids. My ex-wife while coming for visitations stole my checks from my home office. She signed her own signature [not my signature] and used several of checks to make payments and withdraw cash. By the time I discovered she used 14 checks and took around $3500. She used most of these checks in 2009. Since it's been a while back, can I still take legal action on her?? Thanks.

The statute of limitations has probably tolled.
But, I suggest you speak with the local police agency.
Your problem is you did nothing for three years.
You may no longer have a remedy.
