Ex threats to take children away

My ex-husband has major depressive disorder and has started showing signs of a breakdown again. He threatened me that he going to take my kids away from me by telling everyone I am abusing our 5yr old and 2yr old little girls. I have full custody of the girls. He has started playing mind games on our 5yr. old! She comes home and tells me that Lori (girlfriend) and daddy said "you are going to heaven and me and sissy are going to live with them". She always comes home with deep scratches and bruises. I tried getting an order of protection but it was dropped. They told me I can't use his medical papers that states he has MDD for any of this but MDD reoccurs and he tells me one thing then turns it around in less than 5min, or he turns my words around. What can I do? Can he take my kids from me, cause he is starting to make the 5yr. old say things?

He cannot likely take the kids away from you. You can see an attorney to see if there is anything you can do to keep Dad from making hamrful statements to the kids.

If the kids came home with scratches and bruises, why didn't you call CPS?

I have called DCFS and made a complaint with the sherriffs department as well as tried to get an order of protection. DCFS told me there was nothing I could do except take them to the doctor. The sherriffs department never filed anything and there is no record of the complaint. The order of protection was dropped cause they said it was all hear say and could not be proved. I had her in couseling but had to quit going cause I couldn't afford the gas. The ex told me he'd pay for half but I never saw a dime. I am taking the 5yr old to the doctor today cause of the scratches. I have informed the school of the situation and have even called the states attorneys' office. They told me to file an order of protection. DCFS does not seem to want to get involved. I want the mind games to stop for my child. She deserves a normal life of a 5yr old. Is there anything else I can do or anything I have over looked? How can I get the papers that says he has a problem to be seen by a judge? I have his medical records! He left them when he walked out.

Leave it to a lawyer to tell you that you need an attorney. What a bunch of bull. Don't ever go to a lawyer unless it is your absolute last option. No lawyer will ever help you or care about your situation. They all just want money and couldn't care less about the quality of service you receive because they get paid either way. Make sure you do tons of personal research and never rely on a lawyer to tell you the truth. Most times they tell you the most nightmarish stories to keep you in fear and retain their services. There's a reason why there a million lawyer jokes; they're all true.

I've already encountered the lawyers that don't want to help. What I need to know is how can I get someone, anyone to have those medical papers put into play? I want to help my daughters BEFORE they get hurt. I don't want to wait till they get hurt like DCFS is telling me I have to do. How can I be a mom if I can't legally protect my children from them. Do I have to petition a court to get the papers looked at? What do I need to do?

Really need advice

Please ANYONE! I have to help my daughter. She is a VERY sensative little girl. She cries before she goes to her father's home she don't want to go. She says things like "daddy and Lori said you were going to go to heaven and I was going to go live with them. I don't want you to go to heaven mommy." HOW can I protect my children when everywhere I turn people tell me it's inadmissable as hear say. HELP!
