ex quit job and already had back support owed

I just found out that my ex quit his job and he was already in child support arrers. Child support enforcement said they wait 3 weeks before issuing contempt of court. I want to do a run on his SS# to see if he has new job, is collecting unemployment, or has moved to another state. Is there any good site that I can go to that won't charge me money to give me links to free sites (IE Net detective) I want to be able to just give the SS# and come back with results or can I call the SS agency and have them run a check on the number? I would like to catch him now, I only get paid 2 times a month and have a special needs child so this really needs to be addressed now. Thanks for any help!

You cannot just use his SS number for any purpose you want that is illegal. All employers are required to search their database for child support orders. You should wait for CSE to do their job. Also now that you know you cannot entirely depend on him for $$ all you can do is the best you can. CSE has tons of cases and there are alot of deadbeat parents out there they do not have the resources to chase after every one especially ones that are only a few months behind. Unfortonately that is the sad truth.
