Eviction Appeal - Is Execution Automatically Stayed?

We've been evicted and we're appealing it. Is the execution automatically stayed pending decision on the appeal?

I notice you're in MA, so Google "Massachusetts appeal of eviction".
In many states you must do something affirmative to take leave to appeal, such as request or notify the trial court.
In all states, once you appeal, the eviction is stayed, pending the outcome of the appeal.
Appeals are very procedural laden routes, make sure every step follows the correct legal procedure.
