My husband was driving drunk - very drunk - after being sober for a couple of years. He hit a van and caused injury to two people. This is a first offense. We know he's being charged with felony and that the penalties will be stiff, but now we hear that our insurance won't pay medical expenses? Could we be personally sued by the victims? Is there a way to protect my personal assets if that happens?
