I got picked up for a DUI. Besides the breath, they did bloodwork. Since this is my first time, I'm not sure what the process is. Can I get a copy of the blood results before the hearing date? Do I need an attorney to obtain them? When I plead not guilty, do I then receive a court date?

As gabrieldorman asked, what state is this? Each state has its own laws governing access to this information.

In general, you will have access to this information via discovery. This usually means that after your arraignment, your legal counsel - and maybe even you - will have access to this information via the prosecuting attorney's office.

In my state, if they gave you a blood test after the breath test it generally means they also suspect medication sor drugs are a factor.
