do it yourself divorce?

I have been separated for over seven years and my ex and I have decided it is time to get the divorce, we just havent bothered with it. In both our minds, we are divorced. I have contacted lawyers and they range from $1100 to $1600. A do it yourself kit is available. Are these ok to use? Everything has been set out in our separation agreement which was done legally seven years ago? Any advice, has anyone used these kits?

save yourself some money

joey, i have been separated for 3 years and so far my pending divorce has cost me over 8,000. can't wait til i see what the final bill is so i would suggest that you and your wife come to a mutual agreement and save yourself a lot of money and do it as quickly as possible. i am not sure about the do it yourself kits but if i could go back i would certainly consider it. good luck
