Hello,
my boyfriend, a LTC in the army, stationed in Germany for 18 yrs,
but originally from Mississippi,
is married for over 9 yrs to a german-citizen.
They got married in germany.
They have two children.
He bought a house where she lives in with those kids.
I would like to know, what and how the procedure is to get this divorce done
ASAP!
I don't know where and who to ask since I am not an american citizen
nor am I in the military.
1. Does he have to get the divorce done through his state of origin?
2. Does he get the divorce through the german law or the military?
3. Will he have to pay child-support monthly or can he just give them a
certain amount of money and be good?
4. Does he have to leave the house to them or can he just get them an
appartment and sell the house?
5. Can he somehow get her to sign an annulment (or however you call it) to
get the divorce done faster?
Basically both of them agree to that divorce and sign the papers.
Please help me with any answers,
I am really desperate to be in that situation and I want this to be over
asap. We both would like to get married and I don't want to wait any longer.
Since I've been waiting already for 5 yrs now. Because of certain issues
(his marriage) we were having fights quiet often.
Thank you very much.
