Me and My ex husband resided in tenneessee.The home in TN is registered in my name alone however was awarded to him in the divorce. He is consistently late with payments which affects my credit and i am unable to finance anything because of it. I live in GA now and have no interest in the home in TN. I owe $58,000 and the finance company says there is nothing i can do as long as he is making an effort to pay the debt. I have requested he refinance the home in his name however his credit will not allow that. Please advise.

Sorry, there's very little you can do.
We see people stuck in this trap all the time.
There might be a way to help yourself.
You say the deed is in your name and the note.
You might consider bankruptcy.
Speak with a local BK lawyer.
Otherwise, you could make the payments to keep your credit intact.
