You don't want advice from strangers. Visit your local state agency social services office and ask them for guidance, social security can offer you advice, a local minister or church might offer you good advice, or a social work agency. Your child's physician can also offer you guidance, as can a hospital social worker.

And social security will pay him out of your first chech

SIGH. If hubby was qualified for SSDI based on work, he should have filed for it at the time he filed for SSI. Why didn't he? Have you verified he has enough quarters from SS to qualify? Has he logged in on the SSA web site to determine this for sure? Has he been continuously receiving treatment for the issue he was granted SSI? Has there been any changes in his condition?
