My son was involved in collision with another dirtbike when he lost control of his bike while doing some warm-up laps prior to a race. This took place at a local (commercial) track. Although no one was injured, the other boy's bike sustained some damage, and his father is now asking that I pay for the repairs (which is quite a bit). I know dirtbike accidents happen all the time, both before and during races. So I'm not sure what my liability is, as I've been told there is an "assumed risk" principle involved. But I want to do what's fair and right. I just want it be fair to both sides.
