For the last year I miss work about twice a month because there are some days I just cannot make myself get out of bed to go to work.
I have Depression and found out last year I'm Type 2 Diabetic.
I do not qualify for FMLA, nor SSDI.
I love my job and employer and have been there 10 years.
Is there anything I can do to protect my job?
Thank you.

Why do you not qualify for FMLA? Is the employer not large enough? Do you not work enough hours?

How well controlled are the diabetes and depression?

It might be worth exploring a mild anti depressant like Celexa with you family doctor. I found it to work for both its mild anti-depressant and mild anti neuropathy effects for years and still take it along with a my daily meals of stronger meds.

I would still like the answer to cbg's question as to why OP does not qualify for FMLA.
